Vermont Covered Bridges & Backroads
Guided Tours
A private Vermont guided tour built around historic covered bridges, scenic backroads, village stops, river valleys, and local stories.
A private tour through some of the most scenic corners of central and southern Vermont, winding between historic covered bridges on the kind of roads that don't show up in GPS suggested routes.
There's something about stepping inside a covered bridge that slows everything down. The light changes, the sounds change, and for a moment you really feel like you’ve stepped back in time.
About this tour
Vermont has more covered bridges per square mile than anywhere else in the country. Most travelers drive past a couple by accident. This tour is built around them.
We spend the day on back roads connecting bridge to bridge, with stops along the way at the places locals actually go: general stores, river pulloffs, village greens, and spots that don't have a sign out front. Every bridge has its own vibe. A few of them are genuinely surprising.
Half-day tours hit 3-5 of the best in a tight corridor. Full-day tours reach further, adding remote bridges and more time to wander. Either way, you're riding in a private Ford Bronco with me, a local who knows which dirt roads are actually worth it.
Personalized and Private
All of our guided tours are private and tailored just for you. Whether you’re a covered bridge enthusiast or just looking to soak up the Vermont vibe, we’ll customize your tour to match your interests and pace. With space for up to four guests, you’ll get a relaxed, personal experience without feeling rushed.
When to Visit
Spring: Quiet roads, fresh green hills, flowing rivers, and fewer crowds. Some seasonal businesses may have limited hours.
Summer: Good weather, longer days, and strong options for local food, farms, shops, and outdoor stops.
Fall: Peak Vermont atmosphere, but also more traffic and heavier demand. I can blend a Fall Foliage tour with a Covered Bridge tour, no problem!
