I’m Aimee, the heart behind Vermont Wayfinders and your personal guide to Vermont’s quieter corners, cozy spots, and can’t-miss views. I created Vermont Wayfinders to share what makes this place so special, whether it’s your first time here or your fiftieth. My tours are about slowing down, soaking in the scenery, and reconnecting with what matters most: fresh air, good stories, and a sense of ease.

Hi there!

Hop in the Bronco and let’s go exploring. You might just feel like you’re riding with a good friend.

A Life Rooted in Back Roads

I’ve lived in New England all my life—and most of it right here in Vermont. I grew up riding horses with my Mom on the dirt roads around Reading, where my family farm is. I learned to drive on those same roads—first with my Dad, then with my big brother teaching me stick shift in his Jeep.

During Covid, my Dad and I started taking day trips in his top-down Jeep. I’d plan routes, pack a lunch, and we’d hit the road to see what we could find. We got lost sometimes—thanks, Google—but those wrong turns often led to the prettiest places.

Later, when some popular foliage spots became overwhelmed and ultimately closed off to tourists, I noticed people started wondering where else they could go. I thought: there are so many beautiful places, if someone could take folks there in a respectful way, that could really work.

When I got my 2021 2-door Bronco and continued exploring the back roads, the idea clicked: this was the perfect way to show people the Vermont I know and love.

Today, I work full-time during the week, then spend evenings and weekends caring for my horses, tending my small farm, and sharing these back roads with people ready for something different.

There are so many beautiful places in Vermont… you just have to know where to look.

What It’s Like to Tour With Me

My tour style? Fun, easygoing, and engaging. I do the driving, the planning, and the storytelling, but the day is relaxed, flexible, and tailored to you.

Each route includes a thoughtful mix: beautiful views, quiet woods, winding back roads, charming stops, and some local snacks. But I love adjusting as we go… sometimes the best moments are the ones we never planned.

There are always smiles, stories, and the kind of calm that sneaks up on you as the day unfolds. Most folks end the day feeling lighter and a little more connected to the land around them.

Sometimes the best moments are the ones we never planned.
